In 2013 my father, Ravi Maruthappan, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. He received Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy, however after 7 months he lost his battle to the disease in April 2014.

Although I could not help my father, I participate in Relay For Life to make a difference in the lives of those still battling Cancer and to honour his life. ​

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in Australia and those with Cancer are at a higher risk of infection with COVID-19. Since 2020, COVID-19 has severely limited the ways in which we Relay and raise funds for research, prevention and support for those affected by Cancer. Social distancing will also impact the way in which we raise funds in the future.

"Dollar For Change" is an online Donation Drive I started in February 2021 to safely raise funds in the fight against cancer.
