Alan's Story

"To me, Relay For Life is an opportunity to make a difference."

I was diagnosed with Tonsil cancer when I was 52 years of age.

At the start of my radiation treatment I visited the Cancer Council NSW Information Service in Wagga Wagga. The resources were great and I met with volunteer survivors which was terrific and gave me hope and a source of support.

Relay For Life is important to me because it provides such a Great forum for fundraising, research, celebration, remembering and fightback.

As a direct result of my cancer diagnosis, I view life differently; I have learnt to be more appreciative, tolerant, love and enjoyment.
